Info Sheet

Please read carefully before your appointment.

Thank you for your interest in booking a session with me. This information is here to outline the practical aspects of your appointment before we meet.

I’m a tattooer based in London and I work in English, German, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Quick checklist for the day

• Eat a proper meal before arriving
• Shower beforehand, but please avoid moisturising the area we’ll be working on
• Wear clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed
• Have your reference images ready, ideally in a Pinterest board
• Bring snacks and something for lunch
• Arrive on time, with a little flexibility afterwards

Design process

All botanical tattoos are drawn freehand, directly on the body, on the day of the appointment. The design is developed together during the session, with time built in for conversation, assessment, and adjustments. Consultations are part of the tattoo process itself rather than happening in advance.

If you’d like a more detailed explanation of how the freehand process works, you can find it in the Process, Practice, and FAQ sections of the website.

Payment

I work with flat rates per session rather than charging by the hour. Sessions are booked as half-day or full-day appointments, depending on the scale and complexity of the project. Some designs require multiple sessions, which are booked and paid for separately.

Payment can be made via cash, PayPal, bank transfer, or Bitcoin. Cards are not accepted. If you have a specific budget in mind, please mention this in advance, as some projects can be adapted in scale or structure.

Rates

Half day £850
Full day £1650

Session time includes consultation, drawing, breaks, and tattooing.

Deposit

To secure your appointment, a £100 non-refundable deposit is required. Deposits are paid via PayPal Friends and Family to hallo@danielthegardener.com. If you prefer to pay a cash deposit at the studio, please let us know in advance.

Timing

Please arrive on time for your appointment and allow some flexibility afterwards. Sessions can occasionally run slightly longer than expected. Half-day sessions are usually around three and a half hours. Full-day sessions can last up to seven hours.

I don’t rush the process, so it’s important to arrive without strict time pressure. I kindly ask that you come alone to your appointment.

Studio details and arrival

You’ll receive the studio address and arrival details in your confirmation message. If anything is unclear on the day, please reply to that email.

Self care before your session

Please make sure you are well rested, have eaten properly, and are hydrated before your appointment. Shower beforehand, but avoid applying lotions or oils to the skin.

Avoid alcohol, aspirin, blood thinners, or mood-altering substances for 24 hours before your session. If you have any skin conditions, allergies, chronic illnesses, or disabilities that may be relevant, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you properly.

Clothing

Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting ink on and that allows easy access to the area being tattooed. Neutral cotton clothing is ideal, as it allows fresh tattoos to breathe and photographs well.

Bring layers, as it’s common to feel cold during a session. If you normally wear bras and are getting a shoulder or chest tattoo, a strapless bra is recommended if possible. If you’re unsure what to wear, feel free to reach out. The right outfit helps the session run smoothly.

Reference images

Reference images are best shared via a Pinterest board, as this makes them easy to review and revisit if needed. Images on your phone are also fine, and printed material or books are very welcome.

High-resolution images are especially helpful for specific plants or flowers, so details can be clearly seen.

Aftercare

Aftercare is explained in person at the end of your session. You can also refer back to the Aftercare section of the website during healing.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel with more than seven days’ notice, your deposit can be transferred to a new appointment within one calendar year of the original date. A maximum of two reschedules is possible.

If you need to reschedule, please email as soon as possible so the slot can be offered to someone else.

Looking forward to meeting you!
